A major attraction of the Hans Merensky course is the visiting wildlife - the course is bordered by the Kruger National Park near the Phalaborwa Gate and many of the Park's inhabitants pay scant regard to fencing. Particularly during the drier, winter months, elephants, several species of antelope, giraffe, warthogs and even the big cats can be spotted. An unusual benefit to the enjoyment of a round - The land on which the course is built once formed part of the Park and magnificent bushveld trees line the fairways and form backdrops to the holes, giving the impression that the course is far older than its 30 years. From the moment one enters the club grounds, one realises that this is a uniquely African experience - monkeys leap above the enormous trees near the clubhouse, which is said to have the biggest thatched roof in the country.
We Suggest - A 2 or 3 night stay at the Hans Merensky Hotel & Spa will be a perfect getaway and allow you t have a few rounds at the Hans Merenksy Golf Course. Each round will be different than the next as various animals roam free on this lovely layout
Our Pro's Tip - This is a course that can be enjoyed by the professional as well as the novice so it is very playable from the forward tees. Just don’t be distracted by the stunning animals walking on the green
